You need to be aware that any of the methods collecting SO3 in isopropanol bubblers can be subject to a positive bias from oxidation of dissolved SO2 to SO3 and poor capture of H2SO4 mist. Method 8 specifies a 15 min post-test purge with air to minimize the SO2 oxidation problem, but this may not eliminate it since the oxidation occurs during the test as well as after. Same issues for the modified M6 alternative. The presence of ammonia in the sample can make the SO2 problem worse.

Controlled condensation shouldn't be subject to these issues, at least that I know of. I would use controlled condensation method rather than methods using IPA solution in bubblers or impingers if I wanted numbers I had any faith in.
