| COMPANY SPECIALTIES: | ||||||
Shaw Environmental is the market leader in the United States for environmental monitoring of source emissions, providing accurate, reliable data acquisition, reporting systems, and services including product development, installation, startup, maintenance and certifications. Shaw brings experience gained through the design, development, installation, and operation of over 1,500 40 CFR 75 and 40 CFR 60 CEMS and data management systems. As a leading supplier of source monitoring and reporting services, Shaw offers comprehensive solutions for all your environmental needs, from annual audits to complete turnkey onsite operations. Shaw Maintenance Services will help you maintain system reliability and monitor availability while reducing your total cost of ownership. Shaw's Integrated Emissions Solutions Development (IESD) team performs engineering and testing services to help clients meet federal and state emission standards. The IESD team uses Shaw's proprietary EMOTM technology to enhance mercury (Hg) removal in coal combustion flue gas. EMOTM is designed to oxidize Hg0 directly in post-combustion flue gas for subsequent removal of existing pollution control systems. This proprietary process uses less oxidizing agent and incorporates a more efficient oxidizing compound. The EMOTM solution is directly injected into the flue gas, resulting in precise control of Hg oxidation. A custom-designed array of liquid spraying nozzles optimizes system performance. Shaw also offers Multi-Pollutant Control (MPC) technology to address the range of pollutants most common to combustion processes. MPC addresses nitrogen oxides (NOx) , sulfur dioxide/sulfur trioxide (SO2/SO3), and toxic metal vapor emissions, such as mercury, selenium, arsenic, and lead. NOx and SO2/SO3 emissions are controlled through the staged injection of MPC Tier I oxidizing reagents and Trona (or similar sorbent). Similarily, Hg is controlled using Shaw's EMOTM injection system. EMOTM is an after-market performance-enhancing product that works with a plant's current air pollution control devices or with the client's APC vendor of choice. |
